About Anne

I like to keep it personal — visiting clients myself, measuring and advising, then making up and installing the finished product.

I am a graduate in Psychology from the University of Nottingham, and worked in retailing — and later in systems and programming — until having my family. During that time I was making curtains and blinds for myself, family and friends.

When the children were older I took a curtain‑making course run by Lady Caroline Wrey to learn new skills. In response to requests from friends of friends I set up my own business, and have now been working, more or less, full time for around fifteen years.

All my work is by word of mouth. Working on my own I have the flexibility to fit around clients' schedules, and there is no risk of misinterpretation between maker and fitter — they are one and the same.

Any leisure time is spent at the gym, in exercise classes, or playing tennis.
